Travel FAQs
Q1: Do I need any documentation to travel with my pet?
A1: Documentation of vaccination is usually required in and out of the United States from Canada and Mexico. Airlines may require a Veterinary Health Certificate for flights within the US. All animals on International flights must have a Health Certificate often with a stringent preflight checklist on a timeline. Be sure to inquire well ahead of time if you plan on flying with your pet. We have seen several pet owners have to leave their pets behind when traveling abroad because they failed to plan ahead.

Q2: When boarding my pets, what should I look for?
A2: If you ever have to board your pet, the first thing you should do is read the article "How To Select a Pet Care Facility" at the American Boarding Kennels Association web site http://www.abka.com/abka/. Always visit and tour the entire facility first, and perhaps even do a trial run one night prior to any long term boarding. While on your trip, maybe ask a friend to stop by just to check on your pet. Also ask if they are certified by the American Boarding Kennels Association, and not just a member.
